I want to state that those who do not understand why modern day Christians worship on Sunday should remember that the covenant we now have with God is the new one and not the old which the Israelite had with God through Moses from the mountains. In the old days, God chose the seventh day (Saturday)as a solemn day of rest for those who had the old covenant with him, for 6 days they were to work bu t on the seventh, they were to keep it holy by resting from servile works and worshipping him in his temple and reading the scriptures.

In the new and everlasting covenant which we now have with him through Christ Jesus as prophesied by his prophets, the Sunday, which is the first day of the week has been adopted as the day of worship by partakers of the new covenant who filled with the Holy Spirit, and in the joy of Christ's resurrection on the same day, chose Sunday as the day when we celebrate the new life we now have with him. Just as the new believers of the faith adopted baptism over circumcision as the mark of initiating this new covenant with God, they also chose Sunday over Saturday as the day in which God is to be worshipped and praised.

Those who still use Saturday rather than Sunday as the day of worship are perhaps not Christians cos they still depend on the old covenant to save them cos right after the resurrection of Christ on Sunday after having died on Friday, it became fitting for the celebration of this new and everlasting covenant with our father be done on Sunday. The Church has then consistently done this over thousands of years since then
