One of the cool places to eat out in Lagos Nigeria is at the KFC restaurant. KFC has its origin in the USA, specifically Louisville in Kentucky, where they developed their special recipe for chicken meals. The full meaning for KFC is Kentucky Fried Chicken and they do their chicken right.

I'm writing this review based on a visit I made to the KFC place at the Adeniran Ogunsanya Shopping(AOL) Mall Surulere.

KFC is one of the places where I don Chop so I think it's only fitting that I write a review based on my experience.

The KFC restaurant is what I'd call a middle class restaurant because it's not so expensive neither is it so cheap and so everyone who lives in Lagos can afford it at least once a month and for some, it could be an everyday affair.

The KFC place is air conditioned with glass doors and walls. The sitting arrangement is nice and well equipped with comfortable soft chairs. The background colour is mainly red with some shades of black. The floor is of course marbled and the tables are basically glass and steel.

At one end of the room are cool private corners with the seat made of concrete and there is also a cable tv service available all the time. One could decide to sit in an open space or at the corner and not be too visible to other people while enjoying one's meal.

Talking about the meals, KFC's meals are mostly centered around chicken meals and you can choose to buy a single piece chicken to a bucket of chicken. Full meals at KFC Nigeria basically consist of fried/Jollof rice and chicken with a 30cl soft drink and this can go for at least N600.

A piece of chicken which can be winged or lapped goes for around N450 but the price becomes discounted to as low as N310 when you buy more, like a bucket of 21 pieces.

KFC has a basic meal package called Compact meal and this goes for N650. It consists of rice and chicken piece. Adding a bottle of soft drink would add an additional N150 to your bill. This is the cheapest basic meal I think you can get there.

If you end up eating more than you belly can carry and feel the need to ease yourself, well, there is also a restroom at a corner of the room, within the restaurant.

KFC is one of the great places to eat out and you should try them out one of these days. What I basically love about them is their crispy chicken that also comes with the sauce.
