One of the coolest ways or making one's life easier in Nigeria is by making use of a rechargeable fan. A rechargeable fan is a type of electric fan that has a rechargeable battery which allows it to work even after electricity supply has been stopped.

For those who understand the way of life in Nigeria, they know that electric power is not something that is always available on a 24 hr basis. People are lucky to get up to 6 hrs of electricity in a day as some spend 3 days or more without electricity.

More and more Nigerians are now using fans that work with batteries such that even when the Power company a.k.a. NEPA disappoints, they can still stay comfortably in their homes or offices as a result of these specially designed electronic fans.

They are called rechargeable fans and can work for extended hours even after there has been a power cut by the electric company. They can work when electricity is available and even when it's not.

It no longer makes much sense to still use ordinary fans in Nigeria when you can make use of battery powered electric fans since their batteries can be recharged just like mobile phones and then you can use it to ventilate and cool your home for up to 8 hrs or more.

I purchased one for my dad and he loved it even gave me money to buy another one.

If you are using a rechargeable fan in Nigeria, you need to first plug it into a wall socket to charge it when electricity is available so as to be able to use it afterwards. Don't go straight to running a rechargeable fan after you just bought it without recharging it first for about 24 hrs. Once it has been charged, you can always use it afterwards even when there is a power outage. You can also power it with a bigger battery connected to it either directly through it's DC port or indirectly using a power inverter.

From my experience, rechargeable fans can work for up to 9 hrs on battery life alone after it has been fully charged but that time interval drops as the battery gets older and inefficient.

In Nigeria, one can buy a rechargeable fan at special electronic markets or from online shopping websites
